So if you keep driving east through the Rockies, you come out to Calgary. Sort of like in the US, where the rockies end the midwest/great plains start. Calgary is flat, sprawling, and basically the midwest but colder. We drove down the east side of the Rockies and into the city- after some dinking around there we turned out the Olympic Park and a lot of suburbia houses that look the same.
In a surprise move, we decided that we wanted to spend more time in the Rockies, so instead of turning south in Calgary to head into Montana, we looped back into the more southern Rockies toward Banff. Cue the epic sunset into the Rockies pictures, as this trip really was all about the Canadian Rockies stealing the show.
